I have a 2003 Anniversary coupe. I have installed a trailer hitch to pull my small motorcycle cargo trailer. I have purchased wiring converter (Curt #59236 not yet installed) to keep from over heating the brake lighting system. I have a question relating to the type of wiring in the Vette. I know that the brake and tail lights are on same wire therefore it is a 2-way system. However, the instructions refer to another 2-way system identified as “PWM-ST”. Does anyone know what PWM-ST stands for? Thanks.
PWM stands for "pulse width modulation", so you could switch between low and high brightness by having the voltage pulse on and off for low and be solidly on for high. The advantage being you don't have to bleed off power into resistors.
Switching dim to bright and back would look like: _-_-_-_-_-_----------_-_-_-_
The alternatives being either high and low voltages on the same wire or separate wires for high and low. Couldn't tell you what our cars use.
Can't answer the other questions but I see that kit has the scotch locks. If you're installing the kit in your bumper area, and tapping the wires behind the tail lights please do not use the scotch locks- water gets in there and eventually corrodes the connection and you'll have malfunctioning tail lights Don't ask me how I know...

I used a simple Reese connector for my trailer light connector. I opened the tail lights and spliced it in with solder and marine shrink tube. Works great.
