Hi guys! I'm from Belarus it's kinda between russia and europe so there is not much vette specs. So the problem is that car was in garage for 1,5 years and battery was connected and died. So when i changed battery it looks like all settings were reset and after i released handbrake headlights poped up flashing but lights switch was in OFF position. So what is the problem? Why headlights pop up after handbrake release? Right now some mechs are trying to fix that and i'm not sure that it's because twilight option. They say that car diagnostics equipment tells that something wrong with light sensor.
How can i low cost fix that issue? Thanks and regards, Yar.

your headlights are set (you control the setting) to come on when it is dark outside WHEN the hand brake is released. this happens to me every day coming out of my garage. your car is set through the driver control center to have the head lights automatically come on when its dark. you can turn this off and the problem should go away......do the lights pop back down when you go outside in the light? if they don't pop back down your light sensor is defective and it thinks its always night. I bet you can defeat this by manually turning off the twilight setting ( automatic on when its dark) through the DIC (driver information center)

I thought it was a neat feature until I gave some thought to the headlight gear failure problem that these cars are famous for. To me the headlights going up and down needlessly every day in the darker garage just adds unneeded wear to an already weak point in the car. I suggest you turn OFF the feature and leave it OFF.
Easy to turn on or off. Press the OPTIONS button repeatedly until you see TWILIGHT. Then use the RESET button to toggle the feature ON or OFF.
