That's interesting! Back when I was tinkering with this I assumed from the wiring diagram that the hazards would flash super fast and addressing that issue would have been part 2 of my mod. But, when my hazards didn't flash super fast, it wasn't necessary for me to go any deeper. Mine is a '03 Z06. Perhaps GM had more than one supplier for these parts over the model run, which had slightly different characteristics? This wouldn't be unusual and it would be even less odd for service parts to be sourced from a different supplier than what was used on the assembly line.
