Default Differential

On a c5 with a manual trans what keeps differential oil separated from the trans? I have a small diff oil leak that appears to be coming from the small hole at the back of the trans.
Thanks for any help.

the manual diffs have an open window on the side where it bolts to the trans and on the trans there is an o-ring that seals the diff fluid from leaking out from in between the trans and diff... the o-ring is a few bucks but it's pretty labor intensive to replace, not a hard job though... there is also a seal on the end of the transmission shaft that prevents trans fluid from leaking out from the same place

I thought there was an o-ring but I didn't know if there was some other seal. Thank you for your help.
