Well, I spent the better part of Thursday and today tearing the car apart and installing new dual springs and the G5 cam. I can say that this project is a PITA!! I can't believe all the crap you have to go through just to install a cam  I suffered torn knuckles, lost 2 valve spring keepers, spent and extra $150 on tools, and a major backache. If anyone out there is thinking about doing this then keep in mind to make sure you have ALL the parts and tools handy as well as a helper from time to time. This project is definitley not for a beginner. After I finish this then I can finally tune the PCM with the Predator when it gets here. :yesnod:
BTW, is it really necessary to put locktite on all the screws or just the ones that have a tendancy to fall off (I did torque everything to spec)? I didn't add any to the 10 mm screws that attach parts such as the: timing cover, cam plate, etc to the block.. I also forgot to add sealent between the timing cover and oil pan. OOPs!! Hopefully, I won't have any leaks.. :chevy :seeya
you were fine in just torquing everyting to spec and not using loctite. also, your oil pan seals via encapsilated o-ring assy, so, no sealant/RTV used. one of the things you have to watch for is the oil pump pickup tube o-ring if you took off the oil pump to install a diff chain set. the oil ring can fall in the pan. sounds like you'll be ok. .
THe oil pump o ring usually stays in the pump. It's IMPERATIVE that you take it out of the pump and slip in onto the pickup tube before inserting the tube back into the pump. If you didn't do it this way , you might as well stop right now and go back. Believe me, I've done it. :cry

Andy, that's exactly what I was going to say. An EXCELLENT tip!
Re: Cam Swap....Half Way There (Andy@AandACorvette)
NO WAY!! :cry Well, I didn't see an O-Ring on the tube so I guess that means I have to take it all apart again :mad Another lessoned learned.
What's the best way to take the ASP pulley off with damaging it and since I can't use the same method I did with the stock pulley and puller? Thanks for the tip!!
