Flush mount tail light project. Calling all fabricators.
I’ll be cutting these to fill the space to create the flush mount style.
After the purchase of my tail light clear lense LED’s and the look of the flush mount and the chances of finding these lights in a flush mount design I’m gonna see if I can cut the stock tail lights to use them the opposite of a reducer since the lights need to stick out further. I’m gonna mock up a line to cut around the stock tail light housing to insert before I bolt down the clear lense LED’s. Any ideas are welcome while I test out the initial template.

$35 vs 8 hex screws and copper tubing for spacers and some primitive water proofing? I’ll see how the magiver improv makes out first then I guess I’ll have to throw in the towel and purchase. Thanks bud! I need something to do anyway I’m bored lol spent enough on this project as it is🤨

These are cardboard tubes from hangers to make it easier to store from the larger one and cut it down incrementally to get what we need to make it flush. The final choice for the spacer will probably be at Robert Hayes or something little more rigid . And yes this is in figuring out the da Vinci code however if I can save 35 bucks and deuce myself why wouldn’t anyone.
Here’s a shot of the templat I’m using to get the measurements of the tubing ill need to get the lights flush. But what I’m guessing comes with the kid to do this is something to cover the gap at the bottom which is probably either a separate housing or a gasket or frame to go around the light hide the gap because obviously the outside opening is Larger then the inside but when cross that bridge well figure it out.
Temporary spacers need a little adjustments and as soon as I get the measurements for each spacer be fine in no time. But there will need to be a gasket or ring of some sort to make up for the wider opening

They didn’t turn out to bsd. Cost permitting lol nah they look fine. Smart phone is acting stupid today. But for about 6 bucks here’s my flush LED’s. Works for me. Bought 2 LED marker lights in the spirit of the led venture lol

[/QUOTE] Hose spacers were 11/8 not exactly deciphering the Davinci code. Works for me.
