C5 driver window won't stay up.
98 C5 convrt. driver side window would only go half way down. I was living with that. Today my window will not go up or down. I can pull it up but it won't stay up. I heard a sound like a strap breaking when trying to roll window up.

I think I'd start by pulling the door panel and verifying the window is still in the track.
Can you hear the motor run?
Fuse, switch, and/or connector.
While you are in there, verify the connectors for the motor are still joined.
Verify the connector for the up/down buttons is still plugged in.
Its also possible the switch assembly has died, and needs to be replaced.
Strap breaking sound?
Make sure no other wiring has come loose and hanging up/stopping the window track.
