Default Wilwood SLC56 Calipers

Not Corvette related but maybe someone here can help. I'm replacing the spindles on my LS powered 64 Skylark with CPP's C5 style tall spindles along with Wilwood SLC56 brake calipers. Since the calipers are a direct replacement for the stock C5 calipers Wilwood's instructions are to torque the caliper mounting bolts to "OEM Specs". OEM specs for the caliper mounting bolts are 125 lb/ft. This seems high considering the Wilwood calipers don't have threaded steel inserts like the factory calipers. Wilwood tech support was no help. Anyone here use these calipers and if so what how tight did you torque the mounting bolts? Thanks in advance.

The 125ft# is where the caliper bracket mounts to the knuckle. The pins are considerably less. I would call Wilwood to get an answer because those are the last bolts you want to come loose. If it were me I’d torque those bolts all the way. I had one fall out on me once in an f150 and it was no fun. Also, remember red locktite.

I'll torque them to 125 ft/lbs. Wilwood says OEM spec so that's what I'll do. Brake pad retaining pins are 23 ft/lbs. Thanks.
