I'm thinking of going c6z trans diff cradle into my 01z before I start my boost life with this car. Went thru 27 spline & 30 spline and 3 diffs in my old z.
I have my full built m12 30spline.
Should I keep it and get new tail housing and match to c6z diff
Or just go straight to full 08+ z06 trans and diff.
What do you guys think.
Sell built 30spline t56/30spline diff and go with newer stronger better setup or keep and mod my trans to fit new diff.

how much power are you trying to make?... you might be fine with the t56 but if you are going for big hp or if you have the funds for it I'd go for the full tr6060 conversion, plus if you sell your current setup you can recoup a good chunk of what the swap will cost... it's worth good money working but not so much if it's broken

600 + - when in first get going but Who knows after that.
Yea i think this 30spline trans and diff is worth some $$ plus I'll have the cage and pafdt mount to sell also which sell pretty fast on the used market plus I have some extra parts lying around
Sent a msg to Bret earlier to see exactly what I need for the swap and and budget as I can get.
Thanks again for your response, Bret talked about your car when we were going over my plans for this new car.

oh, is your t56 from a base or z06?... the c5 t56 z06 gearing is also not as good for boost, the base c5 t56 has the same gearing as the c6z which is better and of course the zr1 even more so but are usually more expensive to obtain... c6 grand sports also have the same gearing as the c5z... just throwing that out there for when you start looking at transmissions, but Bret will be able to tell you all you need to know

03 m12 z06 trans had 27k miles and i had new syncros then the upgraded keys and pads and a 30spline shaft, has about 3k miles and no strip passes I'm kinda scared. The diff has 40k miles from 02z with c6z shafts and clutches and 30spline pinion no passes.
I also have a c6z pinion support and bearings, 2 extra sets of 342s- 1 27 spline stock and a 30spline pinion both matching
Also about of spare diff parts
I also will sell the dte/Hoosier cage/brace and a pafdt mount.
Basicly everything I wanted or a c5 upgrade.
I just had this swap finished. Put a C6Z06 main shaft in my T56 and had it rebuilt to RPM stage 4 specs. Used a C6Z rear diff also built, an ECS brace and used a dual mount rear k member so I didnt have to use the offset mounts.

Which dual mount k member did you use? I really would prefer not to spend that kinda $ on mounts! Thanks. Or is that only for the rear and not a tt6060 swap?
The only thing I cannot wrap my head around is modifying the over axle pipes. I have not seen or heard a set exact what people do.
I saw in brets sticky that you have to modify and that's what they say in fb also. I just wish I could find out exact.
Oh yea happy father's day to all yall!

you have to cut a 3" section out of the midpipe, cut the over axle pipes at the top, and weld those 3" sections back into the over axle pipes... so basically you are shortening the midpipe and lengthening the over axle pipes so they can clear the diff case

Mine had to be extended at the top of the over the axle hoop and at the mid-pipe connection

I'd have to check on the K Member but it's a dual differential bolt pattern k member.
The 6060 doesn't matter, it's the C6/Z differential that necessitates the K member swap.

Ah ok that sounds simple.
Best solid answer I've got l.
Thanks neutron
