Hi
I have a 2002 corvette coupe and the button doesn't work to release my fuel door.I found the manual one in the trunk but i prefer to use the one in the console. When i hit the button it dont even make a noise. Is there a fuse i should look for?If so where is it and what is the name of it.I couldn't find it anywhere
If it’s not a fuse problem and the actual mechanism it’s a relatively cheap part and fairly simple one to replace. Involves jacking up the rear of the car and removing the rear drivers side inner fender liner and inner trunk wall if my memory is correct. Pretty simple to do. There should be other threads about how to change it.
Test the button with an ohm meter first. Connect volt meter between the two pins in pigtail should be 12 v. If so, connect the two connectors in the pigtail with a paper clip to see if fuel door pops open.

It is the connector on the lower right (between the number 5 and 8)
Just take a wire of some sort and jump the two connectors (of the 5)
