I have a 2003 50th vette with 8000 miles.
I was told that all 4 shocks need rplacement as they are leaking. The question is do the front shocks have an electric connection as the rear shocks do?
numbers that i found are:
Chevy Dealer part #19302787 both front
OEM part # 580-1058
Chevy Dealer part # 19302788 L rear
OEM part # 580-1059
Chevy Dealer part # 19302789 R Rear
OEM part # 580-1060
The OEM parts are 1/2 price of what chevy wants.

Do you really like your F55 shocks? Most people replace them with the C6 Z06 shocks and then you will need to find some one with a Tech 2 to delete the F55.

I doubt AutoZone has a Tech 2. When you find someone that has a Tech 2 this is how it is done
1. Hook up Tech 2, turn car on, make sure module in the rear is plugged in. Do not unplug the rear module.
2. Use Tech 2 to delete the F45 option (F55 does not appear on the menu screen, use F45).
3. Save new configuration.
4. Do not turn car off, do not remove Tech 2. Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector (the widest one), leave any other plug(s) in. [leave the other 1 (F45) or 2 (F55) plugged in]
5. Turn off car, leave Tech 2 plugged in.
6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car. [never plug them back in again, if you do the F45 turns on automatically]
7. Turn car on to verify the "max speed 80 mph" is gone.
8. Unplug Tech 2.
Thanks too everyone for the suggestions I appreciate it.. if this is such a prominent problem why hasn't GM provided a fix or recall. Ah like the air bags!!
just found out after 16 years , some 125000 miles AND asking the question on at least 3 occasions to two different dealers that my suspension stiffeners were never removed. Good bye chevy
