trunk light
my trunk lights on my 02 convertible only work intermittently when trunk is opened. they always come on when I turn on the interior lights with the switch on the dash so I know the bulbs and fuse are ok and I just replaced the switch located in the trunk latch assembly, and there is no visible wire damage, any ideas.

wow do I ever feel like an moron, yes they always work in the garage but never in the sunlight, I had no idea they were part of the courtesy lamp circuit, guess the car was smarter then I thought it was.
