Default Skip shift eliminator

I want to install this on my 03 ZO6. Not that I'm cheap but want to do this today and not have to wait for the plug to come in the mail. Is the pigtail basically 2 connectors minus the pins. Like 2 caps? I'm wondering why they are wired between the connectors then? Thanks!

There's a resistor soldered into the pigtail. If you Google it you can find information on making one

Thanks I found it. Checked through my electronics parts and don't have any resistors that size. Radio Shack is long gone here. Ordered the harness from Amazon that will be here Thursday.

Yep, you need the resistor...The resistor makes the computer think that the CAGS solenoid is still connected to keep from getting error code.
The dash shift light will still illuminate.

Bought one on Amazon with free 2 day shipping and installed it. What a difference not having to fight the gearshift. Only $12.00. I would have paid close to that for a .10 cent resistor and shipping from Mouser.

Don't mean to revive an old thread, but I didn't think my question warranted a new one.

I am looking to buy a skip shift eliminator for my C5Z, and I see a few different branded ones all priced slightly differently $10-20. They all appear to look the same. Are they all the same or is there a specific brand I should get?

Thanks

I believe that Compliance Parts sells one that also eliminates the light. Purchased mine from zip corvette. Works just fine but I still get the light.

Oh wow thanks a lot for your offer, but I actually had just ordered one on Amazon not too long after making this thread. I've give someone else a shot at it!

I really appreciate it!
