My driver window started sticking a few weeks ago in my 99 c5. It would go quarter of the way down and stop, but it could go back up. The window motor went out two weeks later. Be careful, the window can fall if the motor quits. I bought my new replacement for $160 on amazon. They had used for $90, but I didn't shop around either. Don't know if this is like your problem, but hope it helps.

I would replace it with original GM Delco , I replaced both at different times , I tried to save money and bought an after market brand and it failed within 2 years.. The original GM Delco window regulator has never given me any issues.. well worth the $145 bucks....
