Default Is 260 degrees cool enough?

I got with Randy Tippi and he helped me design a stand alone Satrab 925. On the track, it brought my oil temps down from 300 to 260 degrees. My question is "will a Dewitt's or Ron Davis radiator make it any cooler and if it did, does that make a difference?"

Thanks ahead of time.

Makes a difference where you are running. However, when I added a DRM Ron Davis Racing Radiator with EOC and remote oil filter to my 97 and later switched it to my 03 Z06 coolant and oil temps dropped al lot. The first time I took the Z06 to Watkins Glen on a hot August day the oil temperature hit 319 degrees. After I installed the radiator that had been in my 97 and the remote oil filter the coolant temp ran 200 degrees with a stock thermostat and the oil temp ran at 230 degrees. Big problem was getting the oil warm enough when driving around town in cool weather with temps in the 30s and 40s. It took close to 20 highway miles at an ambient temp of 45 degrees to get the oil temperature over 150 degrees driving at 70 mph. With the remote filter (used a 1 quart filter) and the recommended 1 quart over fill for track or autocross usage the oil capacity was 9 quarts. DRM doesn't sell the version with the remote filter any more since they went with the adapter on the engine block. My setup had an adapter mounted to the oil filter mount which is what dictated the remote filter location and the ability to run a larger than stock filter.

Bill,
Thanks for your input. I'm going to order the bigger radiator. We'll see how it does this September at Road Atlanta.
