Mind the (air duct) Gap
I've had my first C5, an 04 CE since February so forgive my rookie questions...
Does the AC/heater outlet duct from the airbox actually connect (as in touch or slide inside) with the floor heater duct vent on the driver side? I ask as with mine there is there a small "gap" between the the two ducts by about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. When I put my hand around the opening, the air seems to move through the system well with only a little "spill" out the side with the majority air moving from the heat vent onto the footwell.
the floor the panels seem to fit solid and be in correct position as I checked for alignment issues. Huh? This seems strange as all the other cars I've worked on has vents tube slide into each other, or had foam to seal any gaps for the air flow.
Is this gap normal on mine or is something out of whack? I'm happy to take things apart but I don't fix something not broken. Thanks!
