no need to disconnect battery but you may wanna raise it up and forward a bit to make getting it out easier.....before you unplug it take the front nuts off......raise the seat all the way up and forward so you can remove the rears and access the plugs....then when you go to reinstall it will be easier...also removing the top if you have a coupe makes getting the seats in and out easier
