Default Where to route wire into interior??

I'm installing QTP electronic cutouts* and I'm not sure how to route the power cable from the cutouts (under the transaxle) into the interior.

Once I get the cable run up into the interior, I believe I know what to do from there. I'm just not sure where to poke through from the exhaust area to the interior. I was thinking I could put a hole in my rubber shifter boot** (it's a manual) and find a way to route through that tunnel that goes around the torque tube? I really don't want to put a hole in my shifter boot though.

Is there another way?
What's the "best" way??
Anybody done this before?

* Yes, I know the cutouts are known for failing within a year. I know what I'm signing up for.
** I'm not talking about the leather shifter boot that is visible with the center console installed. I'm talked about the rubber boot under the console that seals the shifter from the torque tube tunnel.

Moved to C5 Tech, but you may want to PM/e-mail forum member Patches as he ran cutouts on his car.

I did what you are thinking of doing with my wideband wires, cut out a notch in the rubber boot that goes over the shifter and ran the wires through it... that worked for me and you can put a dab of silicone on the boot to seal it back up

There is an opening into the rear in between the gas cap and driver side rear marker light which is covered by a rubber flap. If you remove the rear quater interior trim that unscrews, you should be able to see it. Alternatively remove the driver side outer rear light and run your hand down between the tub and fender and you should easily feel it.

Remove the battery and you can drill a hole into the same wall that the main harness goes through. The other side is behind the glove compartment. Just carefully check both sides to check where you are drilling and use a grommet. I did this to wire in a front camera. Easy to do.

I routed my wideband wires through the shifter cover plate as well. Has worked great and no issues.

I just wanted to stop in and give you all a big thanks for all the suggestions. I feel like I have a lot more options now.

The the rest of my parts came in today, and I'm going to do it this week.

Since I try to minimize drilling into my car, I ran wires through the main harness grommet behind the battery. There is enough room to push several wires through, just take off the tape first.

You can also drill a hole in the tub behind the license plate the same way guys who install a backup camera for their double DIN head unit do it to run the camera wires into the cabin.

^^^

This is the rear "fresh" vent in the tub. It's easily accessible through the outermost tail light (you have to kind of feel for it). It goes directly into the rear tub behind the upholstery.

For posterity, I'm sharing my solution. Firstly, thanks for everyone's suggestions. I felt like I had a lot of reliable solutions to choose from.

Clancy suggested to look behind seats, and there I found where the Emergency brake runs. I re-used that grommeted hole and followed the E-brake line all the way using zip ties. The grommet had to be widened slightly.

I made a quick 20 second video to demonstrate:

Wherever you decide to "poke" through be sure to use a bushing to protect the wires from chaffing and shorting out. Yes it's fiberglass, plastic, ect but they can still short. And make sure you seal the bushing to keep water and critters out, you'd be surprised how little a hole has to be to let mice in!
