Default New oil drain plug

I'm curious, is it a good maintenance idea to get a new oil drain plug? Or is it a waste?

A new rubber gasket maybe. I bought a 10 pack from Rock Auto for like $6 and replace as necessary.

I'm looking at a magnetic one that has a rubber washer. It's probably time to change it out anyway!
