Default Dewitts Radiator hole/leak

Well I started noticing burned coolant smell and water puddle up after I parked. Found the leak, i dont understand how a hole can be made there, it's on the backside where the fans go, my friend said maybe a rock got caught up and the fans sent it flying into the tube?? doubt it...anyways...I tried brazing it, but no luck, that's why it actually looks worse now...can this still be fixed? or is it a paper weight?

I don't know about the fan throwing anything but a piece of debris could get between the fan shroud and core face and rub a hole in the tube. Most of the shop do this kind of thing

Glad to see Mr Dewitt has offered up a solution.
If you are not confident to do the repair, by all means take it to a radiator shop and have it fixed. DeWitt's is a top tier radiator, worthy of a fix.

I don't think so. Some of the zinc brazing rods work quite well if you practice. Also, a highly skilled tig welder could close that up. Even epoxy (not JB weld) holds really good.on aluminum. The two part stuff in pump syringes but keep in mind, once you try this welding is no longer an option.

I was tongue in cheek, of course.

I think I just made it worse...tried brazing it, it came out ok the first time, but I still saw a super small pin size hole, so I decided to re do it....damn I made it worse....should have left it alone....200 shipped anyone??
