Seat mystery
So after 20 years and a couple replaced leather and vinyl panels my C5 driver's sear was showing serious cosmetic issues. I was fortunate enough to find a pair of pristine C5 light oak seats off a wrecked C5. The driver's seat on the wreck had the memory function while my 98 did not however. Anyway I put in the new seats and everything worked and looked great. Then randomly at times when I started the car, the driver's seat moved to what was apparently the preset of the previous owner. I am puzzled by this since my C5 had no harness connector tor the harness connector (blue) that I left unconnected under the seat that I thought was for the memory function. Is there something in the actual seat that needs removed to keep this bizarre random event from occurring again? Or maybe the seat is haunted because of the wreck.

when it moves and you look in the rear view mirror who do you see????? sounds spooky.....
so you are saying the position sensor is coming alive and moving the seat....I wonder if the position sensor is always live?....
on a memory car its the locking and unlocking on the key fob that activates the memory feature when you close the door
