Please post a picture of the 2001 thru 2003 LS6 PCV location vs the 2004 LS6 PCV location in the valley cover, so I can see the difference.

This a picture of the PCV tube that goes from the intake manifold to the valley cover on a 2001-2003. The PCV valve is the larger diameter part of the tube.

Below is a picture of the same tube on a 2004. The PCV valve/system is inside under the valley cover so there really isn't a way to take a picture of it.

2001-2003 valley cover and then a 2004 valley cover. Note the differences in the black plastic PCV system below the cover. (These pictures are taken from Improved Racing's website)

A good upgrade for a 2001-2003 car is to upgrade to the 2004 valley cover as it is a better PCV system. And it is about the same price as the 2001-2003 GM PCV valve is $100. The 2004 Valley cover and U-tube is also about $100.

You do have to remove the intake manifold but I like wrenching on my car so this was not a problem for me.
