Random trunk pops open
I have a 98 convertible corvette and the trunk will randomly pop open. I have upgraded the remote key fob, reciever and tpms to a 2002. All that works great. But evey now and then my trunk will be open.
Not sure how this is happening?

I would start with the emergency release cable and see if that's under tension....who knows....then I would look at the dash board switch and see if the switch is going bad

More info. I had this issue a while back then stopped on it own now it seems to have come back again. Prior to this I have checked and adjust latch, re-routed pull cable for turnk, greased up all moving parts. So wierd that it came back.
