Help needed to indentify this intake. There is narrow air shroud below the registration plate where air goes into radiator. I haven´t opened the intake cover so dont know whats inside. Looks a bit of "I´m from china"
Cheers

Looks almost like a Callaway Honker... but it ain't (unless it's an older unit). Breathless did a similar unit, but it's not theirs either.
I'd definitely get the car up on ramps and ensure the filter is in decent shape. It'll take some abuse under there.

It is a bottom feeder like Breathless and Callaway but is not one of their intakes.

Just a hunch but did MTI Texas or TPIS ever have their own intakes?

If you can keep a clean air filter in it, I'd continue to run it. K&N may have a panel filter in the correct size.

One of the first bottom feeder air cleaners was called the "Ice Box" It was an excellent design and also properly sealed the cover to the shroud. It looks like one of theirs. It was developed by a few software engineers (who developed the C5 PCM architecture) and made at a fabricator in southern Florida. As I recall, many of the users would change the filter from underneath rather than taking the cover off and trying to reseal it to the shroud.
