How to diagnose CV-axle
I came over two pre-owned cv-axles cheap. According to the seller they have less than 30K miles on them.
Today i got the shipment and inspecting them, i expected them to be very similar but they are different in the feel
Inner part on both acts almost jelly like when moving them around, tried twist it around and can't feel anything special. Both acts the same way there.
Outer part on one of them moves around freely but stays bent when bending them a few degrees, doesn't spring back like the inner part. When twisting it around its still smooth movement.
The other one feels a bit uneven when moving it around, no mechanical binding more like sticky binding. Not very smooth. Can i assume that axle is bad in the outer "knot"?

No they are not. If they are the crimp ones you will need new ones. As stated I would buy new ones and not attempt to reuse the old ones.
Don't over pack them with grease either. Dam things explode after a few hundred miles and now grease all over.
