I ordered the x-pipe from Andy at A&A and it cleared the poping and motorboat sound. Now I find myself thinking that the exhaust is not loud enough.

I would go with the off road x-pipe available from www.breathlessperformance.com it fit's just right and you can match the Long tube headers right up to it..:D

Check out my home page for pics and details of the complete exhaust system...:D

Thanks,
I have the Corsa X-pipe and really like it. No motorboat gurgle and only minimal popping on deceleration.

I would highly recommend the Magnaflow X-Pipe. Only it and the Bassani X-pipe have a true full diameter "X" and only the Magnaflow has the exhaust flow in a true x pattern for less turbulence. Just look at a picture of all of them together and you will see what I am talking about. I researched them all before I got them and ended up going with the Magnaflow. The one from Breathless is also not stainless steel. Just my two cents, but check them all out and you will probably agree.

Do they add any power at all?

I put the X pipe on mine,It cleaned up the idle, but also mellowed out the system overall.

If placed correctly in the exhaust system they will produce power.

Most people just throw them in where they are convenient to place, and where there is room.

On every car they need to be placed differently.

......You guys need to add headers to your setup, you won't complain about low noise levels and also get some kick butt power to boot...

The guy that works on my vette at the dealer I bought it from recommended the Bossani X-pipe. He ONLY works on vettes and he says this is one of the best. I also had TPIS headers & Corsa Indy's with Pro-tips installed at the same time. I can't say enough about it - it is a completely different car.

I recently installed some TTS longtubes and the x pipe to my Corsa Indy's. At idle, its a deeper growling sound, no gurgle. at WOT, it screams! At first I thought it was too quiet, but then as I drove it more, it opened up more and more, and getting more louder! I think it sounds perfect now!

Check out www.drgas.com if you want to learn about X--pipes, MTI sells them.
I would stay away from the Breathless X-pipe. After checking out the Dr. Gas pipe, the Breathless pipe looks like complete garbage.

Go with the Magnaflow x pipe. I have read numerous times that it is the only one that has been shown to have any gains (hp) worth mentioning.

I just bought the Magnaflow X-pipe, if you go to their website, you can find just the short 12" pipe to replace so that it can be placed on your car, where it needs to be.

I have also heard that the DrGas works well. Both are made by "the same technology that Nascar uses in their cars." :)

Lowers the tone, takes the edge of the note.
