Just purchased Corsa xtreme pipes. It was a straight forward install until I notice the ds muffler stick out about an 1/2- 1in further than ps muffler. It looks bad when you’re right behind the car. They sent me different axles pipes, 3rd one actually. Which has all the same measurements as the other two. What am I doing wrong? Also if I more the ds muffler out further than the muffle doesn’t have enough axle pipe for the clamp to hold on to. Any help would be appreciated. I’m very tempted shortening the drive side axle pipe about any inch. Not sure if that would fix the problem. Any recommendations ? I used an straight edge to align them.
You’re bolting flange to flange, yes? No slip joints? Curious if the original tips were aligned - is that something you had checked? Fairly common for the mid pipe aft flange welds to break. I’m wondering if yours have been repaired in the past.

the mufflers use a slip joint where they connect to the over axle pipes, loosen that joint on the muffler that is sticking out and grab the muffler with one hand and the tips with the other hand and twist it back and forth while pushing at the same time and that should seat it further into the slip joint... you might need to do the other one as well but just keep doing that until you get it where you want it... also make sure you have all the pipes in the correct location

The pipe attached to the stock manifold and stock h pipe. The stock TI exhaust was even and aligned. The Corsa exhaust: ds stick out about an inch further than the passenger side. I can’t slide the ds any further in. It’s fully seated. And if I pull the ps side out. Then is. gap in the expansion slot where the axle pipe and muffler meet. This is getting frustrating for something easy like an exhaust to become a project.
Cut an inch out of the drivers side pipe so it can go in further into the slip fit?
EDIT,,,,, I know you shouldn't have to cut a brand new exhaust system but if it would get the job done to my satisfaction I would have no problems doing so.

If it were me, I'd take it to a muffler shop, have them align the tips and have them weld or cut to fit. You arer out of there with an aligned system, rock solid connections for 50-60.
I rented the tool from autozone. With the pipe cutter. I figured I was going to cut off an 1/2 inch from the driver side and check the alignment from there

I really think you are on the right track there. Whatever you do don't pull out on the passenger side.

i was able to cut a half inch on the driver side and it almost there. I might have to pull the driver side a hair out now. Also after having the car back on all four. I might have to adjust them slight up. It’s just crazy to spend $1200 on a exhaust and doesn’t align out the back that I had to take a pipe cutter and modify them. I wasn’t happy about that. Now I have to ship back 4 pipe Corsa sent. All had the same issues.
That looks much better from that shot. Are the slip fit joints pretty tight with no clamp? The tighter the better when it comes to not running the male into the female not fully seated. It's ok to pull it back out a little, but I think a 1/4" would be about my comfort. You obviously want maximum strength and minimal leaks.
It is unfortunate to spend that kind of money on something that fits like crap. Unfortunately it's pretty common when modifying cars to have to screw around with stuff to make it work.
The ps is fully seated, the ds I cut half an in and pulled it out a little to make it even. Both males are at least a 1/4in pass the expansion slot. I ended up tightening the clamp to 55ftlbs. Hopefully this should solve my issues. If they loosen up I probably take it to a muffler shop to add a tack weld. I could always put in one small rivet and if I ever have to separate them I can drill the river out.
Your final picture looks like you just about have it. Your 6th picture, the one with the half license plate, looks like the driver side was tilted slightly down and skewed. you can see the rolled edge on the p side but not the driver side. a straight on shot from behind would of shown what I am referring to.
Did it look straight from behind?
When I had my Corsa Pace cat back installed the garage thought that one of the pipes also was bad but while it was on the lift and the garage owner and the mechanic were doing something else I played with the angle of pipe bends until it rotated and lined up straight. I think my garage was in a bit of a hurry and didn't want to spend the time with it. I think I just lucked into it when I started playing with it. Hope you like them when finished.

Thanks for the feedback. The last picture my tips were slightly pointed down. I had readjust them a little using a lever. They look great now, but only after I cutting off 1/2in from the ds pipe. I’m at Carlisle and had Corsa inspected the pipes and they said something was off in the length of the pipe. Either way it look great and sound great after the modification . I just wish I didn’t have to go back and forth. Also cutting that 1/2in pipe was a pain in the *****. I’ll upload the new photos shorty.

Had the same problem.
Trimmed passenger side 3/4" and everything lined up good. It appears one of the welding jigs they use is off a little and isn't what you'd expect after spending so much money, but luckily it's an easy fix.

don’t you means the driver side. From the picture it looked like the driver side.
I had the same problem with my new Corsa Extremes. Dealership installed them and had to correct same problem. I honestly thought I got the only messed up set. I guess Q.C. were on brake on all of ours. I have the 4" tips. Lovem
