Does anyone have any problem with their backlights on their gauges flickering on and off every once and awhile? Mine does it a couple times a week. I loose the backlights on everything in the car and then it comes back on a second or two later. It is not a big deal but I was wondering if I am the only one that has this problem.
I have the exact thing all the time. I assume it has some sort of light sensor getting some direct light from a street light causing it to dim...but I'm just speculating...
Kinda sounds like a loose wire or bad ground. Does it seem to be related to bumps in the road. If so I would strongly suspect a lose connection or ground
I have a similar problem. I notice while driving at night it seems like the fog lights flicker just once in a while. kind of wierd. I'm sure if it is effecting any other lights (tailights) I'm going to talk to the dealreship about it maybe they can shed so light on this problem. Hemmerman
Let me know if you learn anything. It does not act like a grounding problem. You can just be driving along and the system will do it for no apparent reason. When I bought the car initially, the system had a popping noise in the stereo system. I brought it back in and the dealership brought in one of GM’s engineers and he spent two weeks figuring out it was two wires wrapped around each other in the wiring harness that should not have been wrapped together. This was causing the interference in the radio.
Therefore, I would be very interested if you come up with anything.
