after market idler

hi, i bought an after market idler for my c5 the a/c idler. read the directions and it told me to use their dust guard. so i removed the old one, and there was 2 washers behind it. i put them on with the new dust shield/washer. new one in front.. but.... it feels restricted ish!! was i supposed to use both the old washers with this new idler? its the continental high performance one!

Yes, this how they should feel. Your old ones spin easy because the grease in them is long gone

thank you for the vid... but my pulley that i removed looks allot differ then those, no back plate just 2 washers and the front plate... the new one says to use the guard that it came with which is a thick washer but just 1... front wont fit so i assumed it was for the front... but the rear now has me concerned cuz this vid shows a back guard/plate... :O

it feels more restricted after i installed it.
