I have searched and tried several things, but no answers. I started to get the pull key and wait message. It progressively got worse. Now I have the column lock fault associated with it also. The car will start and run for two seconds then shut off. Won’t restart until you pull the key and re-insert Things I have tried.
Battery
LMC-5
cleaned the grounds
cleaned Ignition switch
juppered theft control relay.
Ideas?
Did you remove and clean the ignition switch contact block not just spray cleaner into the ignition switch, need more information on your c5, manual or automatic, and year.. Some model year cars also need what is called the brown wire mod. Repost with this information and more forum members can help you figure out your problem
I have a 99 auto and the car was perfect, no issues.
I installed the LMC5 as a precautionary and at first, I did NOT do the brown wire.
Right after completion and doing the test, I believe it was to cycle the key on and off 10 times in a row. The pull key error came up, I went back and installed the brown wire and no problems since, over a year now.

Might want to try that again and follow these instructions I found above, a little closer.
