Anyone have a write up for replacing the parking brake shoes? They never wear out under normal circumstances so it seems a write up is pretty hard to come by. I am certain they are worn before anyone asks. There is zero pad left, just bare metal. The car was a heavy use track car, so I assume the previous owner had some fun drifting it.

I searched the forum the best I was able to find was some older threads with photbucket pictures (no longer work) even tried to search the threads through a web archive in hopes they were archived at one point with pictures with no luck. I have been able to find plenty of threads on how to adjust them, however I have 0 pad left so adjustment is no an option I need to replace the shoes. I have already seen the thread that you linked, he is replacing his handle inside the car and adjusting the shoes.
First remove the brake rotor then release the retaining spring ends from the shoe. The adjuster might need to be screwed into itself (made shorter) before the shoe comes off. Unscrew the adjuster end and clean all the threads then add a little anti-seize or grease to the threads and reassemble. Unless the shoes are adjusted very loose, removal of the rotor can be difficult, this is where parts can get bent and the retaining spring falls off. If the rotor doesn't come off easy don't force it by prying against the backing plate, make these simple tools: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...val-tools.html.
