Squeaking/Chirping from engine compartment in C5
I have read several posts on squeaking/chirping coming from engine compartment, most of them discussing belts or pulleys.
in my case, I know the serpentine belt was replaced by the dealer a little over a year ago and less than a thousand miles. The squeaking/chirping seems to stop after I drive a bit and things get warmed up. Because of this I’m inclined to ignore it and not worry about it. is that a reasonable reaction?

What brand of belts? My brand new Dayco belts lasted about a year (less IIRC). Replaced them with Continental Elite 4 years ago, still good.
Could also be a pulley. You'll have to do some testing to find out.
