Help Telescopic function of steering wheel stopped working !!!
Has this happed to anyone? Did a search again "telescopic" and got emtpy results. Anyone know hot to fix without having to visit the shop ???

I understand you can do a reset / relearn by pressing the control switch 6 times in either direction. Worth a try!

I did the "press button eihter direction 5/6 times" last night and nothin, now this morning It is working, WTF. Other than the Engine and the looks did GM do anything else right on the C5 ?????:( :mad

I don't know, but is it possible you have to "reboot" (turn car/power off and then back on) for the relearn to kick in??

I used to have this problem a few years ago and then the problem dissappeared- until the other day. What I do is just keep clicking the switch back and forth for about 5 or 6 minutes and eventually it starts working again. Good luck :cheers:

The telescopic steering column is controlled by the memory seat module.
I am guessing that you have a loose connection between the column switch and the seat module. A defective column position sensor might also cause a problem. The shop manual has a procedure to determine the problem.
