Default Flasher unit

Have a C5 1997 and am in the process of changing my light bulbs to LED's. I changed the tail light bulbs and now they flash real fast, Both front and back flash but just fast. I have not as of yet changed the front parking/directional bulb and was kind of hoping that changing them might correct my problem but am thinking NOT. The flasher unit I have found out with some investigation and talking with the dealer that it is behind the 4-way flasher button up on the dash next to the A/C vent. My question is can this A/C vent and 4-way flasher button be POPPED out of the dash or does it require a full dismantle of taking the dash out. Would appreciate any and all info and illustrations showing how.

I think you need to do some research on installing LED lights and switchbacks. The flasher in the dash is not going to solve your problem.

One of the Forums vendors sells the unit and here is a link to the installation PDF.

The resistor linked to by the previous poster can also be used but you need one resistor for each LED bulb you install and you need to splice each one is series to the LED..
Thank you sir, I did find the same one on Amazon for $20 cheaper. and you are right I would have to put one of the resistor's on each light and I just do not want to go through that. As long as it works it is a simpler fix.

Additionally, when adding the individual resistors you are adding heat in every one of those locations. They have been known to damage or burn through the plastic if they are too close.
Hyperflash harness lets you avoid that (and as you noticed, placing a resister at the location of each bulb you replace with LED would be a hassle).

The hyperflash harness is the way to go.

It was probably just a lapsus while typing fast (BTDT ), but the resistor is actually installed in parallel with the LED bulb to increase the current draw and fool the flasher.
