2002 Z06 Shifting Problem
Hi all - new to all this and to the Vette experience. Last time I drove an american muscle car was 1975 when I owned 1967 Coronet 440 Rt putting out about 375HP. This 405HP Z06 with Lg Pro long tube headers far exceeds the acceleration and torque of 1967... Anyhow, been driving this only about 5 weeks and have experimented with shifting at near red line rpms up thru 3rd gear. (6000/6200 shifts). After 3 or 4 runs at this I noticed when I've come to a near stop that shifting back into 3rd, 2nd or 1st that it is "stiff" as if it doesn't want to go into gear... thought I blew out the tranny the 1st time it happened, but after getting it into gear, after a couple of miles at normal RPM speed, it is fine again. This has happened twice now and don't know if anyone else has experienced this. Any thoughts?
