I’m getting ready to order some fore triple pumps, and REALLY don’t want to pull my ******* drivetrain. I went through the trunk on my SS back in the day installing my fuel sytem and was hoping there was a way to do it in the vette too, or am I trying to redneck my corvette too much lol.
Is cutting out part of the trunk (I have a Z06) a thing people do? I work st a composites shop, so fiberglassing it all back together wouldn’t be an issue, Hell I could even put in a carbon trunk floor for fun instead.
What year car? I believe it was just the 04's that had the mounting location in the top. In the earlier ones the pump is mounted in the lower rear backside of the drivers side tank, you just need to remove an access panel if I remember right (been about a decade since I had to replace my sending unit).
on any year BUT the 04 it's behind a panel in the left wheel well. pull the tire, remove the panel for access. Filling out your profile makes to easier to give advice

As others have said, it depends on the year. Late '03s and all '04s have the C6 style fuel system with everything accessed from the top of the tanks. Earlier cars have an access port on the side of the tank.
If you have a newer car you MIGHT be able to theoretically access it from the top by cutting removing the interior and cutting a hole in the tub to access the tank from the top without removing it, but there is some additional bracing and reinforcement that might get in your way. On top of that, unless you removed the roof it would be VERY difficult to contort yourself to get down in there.
Bottom line-- even IF you could access it from the top it would almost certainly be far more work to do so vs just removing the tank and dropping it from the bottom. Dropping the tank is a pain in the *** too, but still would be most likely be far less work than what you're proposing.
