Trying to pull compressor
I am trying to pull out the ac compressor and it's giving me a fight!
There is a manifold/hose assembly bolted on the back, apparently that needs to come off first, as one of the aluminum tubes causes interference between frame rail and compressor mount.
It's hard to get any movement on that bolt on manifold because the area between frame and exhaust manifold limits room for ratchet.
Tried a regular box wrench, same pipe on manifold gets in the way.
Tried short and long extension and even a swivel.
Any ideas?

I got it.
Used1/4 ratchet to give me room, used a cheater pipe (upper section of floor jack handle) and broke it free.
Even with 1/4 ratchet it's still very tight and can only turn a tiny bit each time, air or electric ratchet would come in handy here, but I didn't wanna dig out air ratchet, hasn't been used in years.
Maybe I'll use air ratchet when putting back together.

You're talking about the 13mm bolt holding the hose manifold to the rear of the compressor, correct?
You need the "magic" Craftsman swivel socket. The number on mine is 43199.
It's a shallow 1/4" drive 13mm socket with a 1/4" swivel built right in.
It's short enough to wiggle into the tight space - stick an appropriate 1/4 extension on it, and go back with more extensions as far as needed to get room for a ratchet.
Only downside is if the bolt is really tight - might break the little swivel.
Used it several times, haven't busted it yet. Truly a time/frustration saver.
