I recently purchased a Halltech Venom for my C5Z and installed it the other day. While installing, I noticed the intake tube diameter is quite a bit larger than that of my stock MAF... Photos attached. When tightening the band clamp on the affixed rubber coupler, it seemed as though it was squeezing the coupler tighter than it should, causing the clamp to come off the intake tube and clamp down a little crooked. I also noticed a split in the rubber coupler that doesn’t quite close up with the clamp tightened.
My question is, does anyone know if this is the way this intake is supposed to work/fit? Is the tube diameter intentionally a decent amount larger than the factory LS6 MAF? I used to have a Halltech Stinger on a previous C5Z several years back and I don’t remember it fitting like this.
