Default C5 convertible rear window problem

The rear window on my 02 convertible has separated from the canvas top. There appears to be no visible signs of how to fix it. There is plastic edging on the canvas side and just the windscreen with what seems to be a form of water seal. Are these supposed to be attached to each other with some adhesive or something? There are a couple of elastic straps on the top edge but they don't have enough tension to hold the windscreen shut. How do I fix before it starts raining (don't have a garage here in Maui Hawaii)? Mahalo for your help

There are many threads on the subject, some very recent. Look up in forum or google it. Repair explained in detail. Good luck.

Here is what I did over a year ago and it is still holding.

Bought Rhino Ultra Glue and “Universal Vacuum Clamps” (six in a box) on the Internet.
Unlatched the top to loosen the fabric. Supported the top with a piece of PVC piping. Stuffed pillows against the window from the inside.
Removed the old glue stuff from the glass using a glass scraper. Cleaned the fabric and glass with rubbing alcohol and glue remover. Masked the outside fabric as a protection against any glue run off. Glued glass top first using all 6 clamps. Clamps stayed on for 12 hours for each application.
The two sides were done next.
Last was the glass bottom.

Awesome for your help and pictures! Clever with the vacuum devices. Mahalo to members of the forum for reaching out with assistance.
