New altinater

New alternater

Just got back from the dealer with my 02 Vette,and they found my alternater was making a slight whinning sound.The tec said the new one has an update to it.
Does any one know what that update is or what the changes are on the new alternater ? :D

the update to the ALTERNATOR was an internal clutch to prevent the rattle from the serpentine belt, or something to that effect.

What him said :) The fix was introduced as there was alot of complaints with the car in reverse and moving the whole car would shake, it turns out the alternator was causing a vibration through the serpentine belt.
