Re: 3.42 SWAP WITHOUT PULLING TRANSMISSION? (wkasak_98Coupe)
Mike Mercury docummented his DIY gear swap on his web site. I also watched very closely as mine was done and the transmission was only lowered some but it was never removed or disconnected from the TC.
You have to disconnect the air bridge and be real careful just how low you tilt the transmission or the engine will "hurt" your fire wall as it tilts with the transmission.
My best advice is to find his web site and read it over real good.

Bats, did you get a gear box or just preparing??? Mine is at the doctors office getting all the mods in my sig right this moment (except the intake and exh.)!!!! I cannot wait until I can pick it up which unfortunately will be Sunday as I am out of town with work. Should give them plenty of time with the LS1 Edit to make it just right.

karshop@tampabay.rr.com
I couldn't put my finger on his phone number. You may try infomation. It was used with (I think) around 25k on it.
Not necessary to take off the transmission. :smash:
