I searched the forum for this one but I couldn't find the exact answer I need. For the last couple of weeks I've been tormented with a squeaky clutch pedal that squeaks and creaks when it is nearing the top range of the pedal release. I haven't changed clutch fluid since I got it so I don't think it's fluid/seal related. I've tried spraying lithium grease spray around the pedal pivots and it bandaided it for just a day or two. Then I tried greasing up the clutch pedal spring with synthetic bearing grease and this did practically nothing.
I think the issue is on the clutch pivot I'm looking for hopefully some guidance for an actual fix, not a bandaid, and what I need to take apart and replace to eliminate the squeaks. These squeaks surely are embarrassing.
I dealt with a noisy clutch pedal on my C5. I changed out everything with another complete assembly I picked up cheap at Carlisle which really reduced the problem almost 100%. I see complete clutch assemblies for less than $99 online. I still have noisy "Clutch switches", mostly the bottom switch. They make a bit louder (audible) "click" sound than my other friends C5 Clutches. I'm in the process of finding replacement upper and lower switches for my clutch pedal which are MUCH softer or quieter.
Did you try lubing the return spring on the pedal??
This guy ^^ is on to something. I pulled my spring out and doused it with grease. I mean, rubber gloves and really slathered it on there inbetween the coils. It was quiet for a while. But I still think there's some noise where the shaft goes into the rubber seal of the master cylinder..

I covered the spring nicely with synthetic bearing grease to the best of my abilities and didn't help. Next time, I'll take it out completely and lube it from outside the footbox.
