Default Reduced Engine Power

28-TCS
10-PCM

98 Lingenfelter (newer transmission - less than a year)

Any help, so I don’t get the road warrior treatment taking it to the shop.

Default Reduced Power

The TCS code references the ABS brakes. The other code could be he main PCM or the body control module. Check under hood. There are wires coming up lower drivers side that tie into the ABS brakes and the Throttle body. If they are loose or broken
the car will go into reduced power mode. If your balancer is failing it can hit those wires and cut them. It happened on my 2001 Z.

Default Can also be a DBW component

A decade ago when the C5 was pretty new I got the reduced engine power msg on the DIC along with the car not going over about 25 or 30 MPH. The dealership traced the problem to the Accelerator Pedal and replaced it. That particular code never returned. Just replaced an Ignition Switch which caused a crank but no start condition, DIC code pointed to the DBW TAC. Replaced the TAC and car still wouldn't start. Replaced the back of the Ignition Switch (electrical part only) and car started immediately. Could also be a broken or shorted wire. Check at connectors for possible separated wires.
