Default Car shows 40 DIC codes - can it be fixed?

I'm looking at buying a damaged c5 to rebuild as a track-only car. It will crank up, but has a ton of codes in the DIC. Below is what I found. I'm sure there must be one major cause for the bulk of these codes right? Surely something is unplugged, or maybe this car has been flooded. Think this can be fixed? or should I move on to another car? The dash is also lit up like a christmas tree.

What was the damage? With that many errors I'd agree with your assessment of it potentially being a flood car, or there being one large issue possibly with the main harness causing loss of comms. Wanna roll the dice? If no obvious issue was evident on inspection I'd pass .

The car has damage on the driver's fender, rocker panel, and in the area where the driver's door hinges are.

All of the Loss of Communications errors can be due to damage to the wiring harness in the drivers door/door jamb. The data bus circuit may be shorted to ground in this area as indicated by the U1300 code.
I would not worry about the C2120 code for the TPMS given how you want to use the car.
The pass-key errors may or may not be related to the data bus issue. This error would typically prevent the car from starting or continue running.

Thanks Gary, that sheds a ray of hope. Most of these codes were listed as "H" which after some research I now understand to mean "historical" and only 3 had a "C" for "current":

P1571 ASR Desired Torque (PCM)
B2722 PASS-Key Detection Circuit (BCM)
U1000 Loss of Communication Undetermined (SDM)

I agree with Gary, half the codes will disappear if you simply clear the codes. All that lost Communications stuff is just a wiring error. They're not all that difficult to find if you have the proper tools. Look into one of the switch boxes that are used for tuning. It's a gizmo that plugs in at the passenger footwell, taking the place of some jumper strips. It has a rotary switch and you can turn off all the data bus except one leg, typically used for eliminating draw on the line so you can do a PCM programming. If the bus voltage is low you can break a PCM so people use these things to safeguard against that when tuning. I have one.

if you're not afraid of a little Diagnostics and the rest of the car is good oh, I wouldn't be afraid to pick it up at a hell of a steal price so I can beat the snot out of it on a track.
