Default Blue smoke on cold start - video

Decided to go out and start the vette after sitting for about a month. I noticed there was a small amount of blue smoke on the initial start up. Is this amount enough to be concerned about or what?

Yeah first crank in at least a month. I just happened to record it and saw that little bit of blue smoke and got concerned.

I don't think it's a concern, but then I don't think mine does... Starting it during storage? If so, why?

Might be time for valve stem seals. Keep an eye on it, if you start having blue smoke on all cold starts the valve stem seals are the likely culprit.

I was bored and just wanted to hear it lol. I don’t really do a full winter storage, I drive it sometimes on sunny days in the winter when there isn’t any salt on the roads.

That was my first thought but I’m pretty sure when I bought the car (7yrs and 14k miles ago) I had new valve stem seals done when I had my valve springs changed out.

Check that bill. How many miles on it total?
I fully store mine in the winter (even though we didn't get snow until a few days ago this year).

That is what the white smoke is but I saw a little blue smoke right after the crank. I may be worrying for nothing tho, I cranked it again today and no blue smoke, just the white smoke.

Dont know if it's normal or not. In 14 years and 115k miles I can't think of a time of more than a day or two we haven;t gone somewhere together.
