Default LS1 fuel pressure

Is LS1 fuel pressure 58 PSI?

Also is it that at idle and WOT?

I'm planning a LS swap into my 1965 C10 pickup, and have access to a free tank on GF's old PT Cruiser that is going to salvage yard soon, research shows those are 58 PSI.

I don't even know if the tank will fit under the bed of truck yet, but before measuring and removing I wanted to double check PSI.

Does it matter if the PT Cruiser was for four cylinder and I want to run V8, or is PSI the only concern?

Yes to 58 psi, but I doubt a PT Cruiser fuel pump has the volume needed for an LS1.

you can get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and have the tuner set the fuel pressure wherever he sees fit according to your mods, fuel system, tune, etc, it doesn't have to be exactly 58

In addition to the responses above and to answer your second question, fuel pressure should remain constant +/- 2-3 psi anywhere in the powerband from idle to WOT. That is, if your system is properly working. My c5 holds 60psi of fuel pressure from idle to redline regardless of throttle percentage.

Side note, I have an AEM fuel pressure gauge installed which is how I know that.

Why not just get a new fuel tank and pump for the C10 that is made for a fuel injected motor swap or a bed mounted fuel cell? Your also going to need a return style fuel system loop for the LS1.

Keep in mind the fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel filter on a c5 Corvette
