I am wondering how to install a line lock on my 1998 c5. Been searching the forums and the web but can't find anybody who has actually done it on their 98 and posted about it.
Apparently my abs module is in the back because i dont see one up front under the power steering pully. Nobody seems to make a kit with brake lines for a early c5 with rear abs module so wondering what it entails to install one myself. I am willing to make my own brake lines and borrow a flaring tool if needed but first, why can't the line lock solenoid be installed up in front by the master cylinder, before the abs module?
if i need to put the solenoid in the rear, can i just cut into one of the brake lines running off the abs module and run the solenoid inline? Im not very familiar with how the line lock works but am mechnically inclined and can understand it if it is explained. Thanks for the help in advanced.
I installed line lock on my 97. I just bought a solenoid from summit racing an installed it under the master cylinder. I've had it on there for probably like 4 years an no problems out of it and I have used it many many times.

Thanks Vetteforplay. So you installed with a new brake line you bent to put the solenoid inline? Did you run the solenoid inline with the front/forwardmost brake line on the MC to control the front brakes?
I just cut a section out and flared the ends off of the line that comes out of the master cylinder for the front brakes. Then it's just a power wire an ground.
