Default LS6 Heads

Does anyone know the casting numbers on the LS6 heads from a 2001 Z06? Also, the GM part number of the new style piston rings which are supposed to cure the excessive oil consumption?

the LS6 head is a 243 casting vs a 241 of the LS1.

Thanks for the info , rwj383. Now does anyone know if the exhaust manifolds are different from the LS1 and LS6? Casting numbers?

Exhaust manifolds are the same for 2001+ LS1 and LS6.

Also the 243 casting is the same for 2001, 2002, 2003 LS6 Head castings.

However, the valve train after 2001 is different components.

Or...perhaps a nice tasty MMS 229 v2.2 .588, 112 lsa would also be a nice choice. :D
