Front right brake locks under heavy braking.
1999 FRC. Replaced both front calipers and changed over to stainless brake lines. No change.
looking to add bias spring to master cylinder, but this seams to be a band-aid, not a solution.
Is this a hydraulic problem or an electronic problem? ABS seams to work otherwise.
Have you pulled the DIC codes, the only time my brakes locked up was when my harness came loose from the wheel bearing clip. Checked my codes and new where to look, in my case left rear brake.
More than likely have a SWPS sensor go bad and on the 99-00 it cannot be updated to the 01-04 sensor. Yours is no longer available. The only available option is to find a used one, preferably one that has been centered by a reputable vendor, and replace it. If you need how to do it I have a few downloaded article on centering the SWPS (easier with a Tech2) and removing the steering wheel to replace it.

Cleared codes. Drove for a day. All that remains is the C1286.
verified front suspension components all good.
I will chase down C1286 code, lots of reading and bad news, but the BIG QUESTION..
Is this the root cause of my right front brake locking up under panic stop situation?
