Default telescopic wheel switch

I've just bought a 2001 Coupe with telescopic steering wheel. But the switch is broken, and I can't find anywhere to purchase a new one, or even a part number. Has anyone else found this part available?

The switch is broken off or it doesn't work when you push it?

The switch itself appears to be broken on the inside. I can wiggle the button freely in any direction as if it isn’t connected to anything.

Before you buy or dig into the switch you can check if the telescopic is working without it present. If you scroll through Options on the DIC you'll come across a setting for Easy Entry/Exit. If you hit Reset and turn it to On the telescopic wheel will retract all the way against the dash when you pull the key out. When you insert it the wheel should move towards you (press the 1 or 2 on the door card and see if a memory setting has the wheel closer to you). That will tell you if the actual internals are working and then you can just buy the switch.

Don't know if I would want the wheel to move since you will have no way to adjust it after it moves. It should end up in the same place you left it but......

Thanks for the reply. I do have Easy Exit turned on, the seat moves properly but the wheel doesn't move at all. It appears, as far as I can tell, that the steering wheel is as close to the dash as it could get. I still haven't found a place that sells the switch, could it be a dealer only item?

So I had an issue with my telescoping switch when I bought my car as well. Upon removal of the switch I found that the motor worked, but the switch felt broken on the inside. So i took it apart and while I couldn't find and pics or anything to follow on the web. I did find another telescoping switch that seemed to almost match so I ordered it. I was able to move some of the internals of the new switch over (with some modifying) and make it work.

Enclave CTS Corvette Steering Column Power Tilt/Telescoping Switch 20982801 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MHZSCTM/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_o77vCbMWKSN6Q

Oh and I was unable to find the switch anywhere save for getting a whole column.
